Making it in the Music Business in 2020

On the 15th April 2019 the new EU (European Copyright Directive) copyright law was introduced, meaning that tech giants such as Facebook and Google would have to sign licensing agreements with rights holders such as musicians, performers, authors, news publishers and journalists to use their work.
In January 2020 it was revealed that the UK government confirmed it would not implement this European Copyright Directive, leaving Music Artists questioning the future of music.
