Christmas picks in Birmingham

With just over a month until Christmas, why not see what’s going on in Birmingham for the festive season and even New Year!
The famous German Market is currently in the city where you can go and try some tasty traditional German food, as well as warming up with a hot Glühwein- or known to us as mulled wine. There is also plenty of things ideal for a quirky Christmas gift including jewellery, crafts, clothing and decorations. Also don’t forget to try the lovely German beer!
Birmingham is also the ideal place to start your Christmas shopping (if you haven’t yet…like myself), there is not only the Bullring but also the High Street where you will find the Pavilions and if you are looking for designer names then head to Selfridges and The Mailbox. If you are planning a special gift for your loved one or relatives then the Jewellery Quarter has some amazing shops where you can purchase items by local and independent retailers.
There are also parties and club nights for New Years Eve at Gatecrasher which starts from 9pm and lasts until 6am, tickets range from £25-£70, The Tower Ballroom in Edgbaston and raves at The Q Club and Institute.
