Introducing Star Tiger

star tiger

Described by one fan as “heavier than heavy water in a Norwegian fjord”, Star Tiger came together in 2009 with guitarist and vocalist Craig and bassist Sharon initially working on songs as a two-piece before adding powerhouse drummer Mike to their ranks. I recently caught up with Star Tiger to find out a little more about the band and their music. Progressive and Experimental Metal is a not a normal genre of music for me, which nade it a perfect fit for The Musical Journey Show.

Follow the band:

The Anteloids – Rugby Based Band

Listen to the music and interview with
Ben Jennings, Huw Janes, Paul Sizer, Tom Jennings from THE ANTELOIDS who are the reincarnation of The Sound who were featured on Daydream Generation No9. Several months on and the development is quite stunning, the lo-fi Spiritualized influenced sounds of the past making way for a more polished high octane sonic assault on your eardrums, as shown here on the aptly named ‘Invasion of the Cosmic Monsters’.

Band – Milestone Road – Live Set recorded for Radio Warwickshire

Milestone Road – Live Set Recorded for Radio Warwickshire
Band Bio:
this is the profile of Milestone Road Hometown: Birmingham, UK
Label: Make It Big Records
Roger Lee –Guitar & Vocals,
Paul Anderson – Guitar,
Kevin Turner – Bass,
Phil Sproston – Drums
Marko Kuzsta-Keyboards & backing vocals
The initial idea of the band was born out of necessity, Roger had been writing songs since 1987 but having formed two previous bands in the early 90’s nothing came to fruition, finally in 1997 he took a break from song writing altogether. In 2008 Roger was slowly rediscovering his passion for writing and recording, this resulted in “Innocence” being written at the end of that year. By August 2010 it was self-released through his own label but with little success. A Christmas song that had been written by Roger in 1993 was revamped and released in October of 2010 in time for Christmas, but he soon realised that the only way to push this forward was to put a band together and perform live. Various ads for musicians were placed on the JoinMyBand website and after much debate as to who should be a part of this new project a meeting was finally arranged…
On Saturday 29th January 2011 it all started to take shape and the dream that started 23 years previous was on it’s way to becoming a reality.
Roger Lee on guitar & vocals, Kevin Turner on Bass, Paul Miller on guitar and our drummer Phill Sproston being the final addition, Milestone Road was finally born.
Three more gigs followed after the Flapper before we finally arrived at the Star & Garter for a show that was put on by XRP radio who were running a three night event with 14 bands appearing. As Milestone Road it was our best gig ever and a night where we were really able to shine, the crowd loved us and we loved them.
