There are just a few hours left to sign the petition calling for Richard III to remain in Leicester.
The number of names backing Leicester’s campaign could be vital if a judge rules that an independent panel must decide where Richard III’s remains should be re-interred.
The petition set up by Roy Shakespeare is for the mortal remains of England’s last Plantagenet King, Richard III, the last King to die in battle, recently discovered under a Council car-park in Leicester, to be re-interred with due dignity and respect in Leicester, where he was originally buried. The Number of signatures currently is 34,181.
