What is your role at Radio Warwickshire?
Station Manager, Journalist, Marketing and PR, Presenter and a programme trainer.
What do you like most about community radio?
As founder of Radio Warwickshire, I have a passion for sharing community news, events and talent on a platform accessible by the community, and reported in the first person style.
I have been a presenter and broadcast journalist in local FM Radio, and have taught Radio Studies in The FE sector. I draw my skills and experience from this to share with new trainees at Radio Warwickshire. My passion for radio and sharing is to give opportunities to trainee media people who want the opportunity to work alongside our team and gain ‘live new media’ training.
Which bands would headline your fantasy music festival?
It’s a tricky one, as I would have the mainstream musicians that have featured in my own music selection such as Kings of Leon, Bob Marley, Passenger, Arctic Monkeys, However due to the opportunities to report at some many excellent local and national music gigs on the last 18 months for Radio Warks, I would say there’s not one band I’ve heard that I would not invite..
What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Well it is a complete ‘box of frogs’ being me, but I would not change a thing…
When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
I like long distance running, so 30 minutes would not be enough, so I would go for great company, excellent coffee, a good read and of course a cozy cafe…
What’s the #1 most played song on your iPod/MP3 player?
Snow Patrol RUN
