A Taste of Latin
Midlands based latin jazz band, lament, kick off their Autumn tour with their brand new show, A Taste of Latin on 20th October 2012, in Staffordshire. Following the success of previous show, Latin, Fiesta, Rhythmic, Explosion! Lament will tour their new show with Warwick based Rural Touring Scheme, Live and Local, an Arts Council initiative which supports and helps to bring high quality arts activities to rural locations.
A Taste of Latin fuses many different latin musical styles from around the world including Tango, Bossa Nova, Son and Rumba. Their repertoire is mostly original but also includes some traditional latin songs all tailored into a vibrant and colourful show. Lament has earned a reputation for professional, dynamic and entertaining performances with high quality musicianship and a mix of latin rhythms that makes dancing irresistible.
This will be lament’s third year of rural touring and this year have extended their tour to other regions of the UK. The tour will take them to Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire visiting venues such as village halls, schools and local theatres.
