Broken Witt Rebels at The Institute

Written by on January 30, 2014

Broken Witt Rebels played a gig at The Institute in Digbeth on Saturday 25th January and it was absolutely incredible. It also marked the launch for their EP This Town Belongs To Me and there was a good turnout of support for the band.

The Rebels gave a very energetic and mesmerising performance with a combination of soulful blues and edgy urban rock; frontman Danny Core hyped up the crowd as well as guitarist James Tranter playing the guitar with his teeth. The set list included Witchcraft Women, Call Out The Sun, Gimme Your Soul, Cloud My Day, Shake Me Down as well as All Worn Out and a brilliant finale with the powerful new single Only I.

The Two ‘n’ Eights who played before BWR were also amazing and it’s great to see bands from the West Midlands gaining recognition.

The Rebels will be playing in London at The Old Blue Last on Tuesday 4th February.
