Birmingham International Jazz and Blues Festival 2013
Written by katie_grimason on July 4, 2013
From the 5th-14th July the 29th Birmingham International Jazz and Blues festival will take place in numerous locations across the city. Whilst music is at the heart of the festival there are other things such as dance, poetry, film and art. With free admission to the majority of the events, it is definitely something that is not to be missed.
On Tuesday 2nd July I had the pleasure of meeting the director of the festival and former manager of Brummie band Black Sabbath, Jim Simpson! It was a real delight to chat to him about the festival and also about his time with Black Sabbath. The interviews are below so take a listen.
The links below will give you an excellent taster of the festival and what is to come from the 5th-14th July.
Finally I’m really excited to be attending some of the events and to have had the opportunity to speak to Jim himself! For more info on the Jazz festival go to: www.BirminghamJazzFestival.com
