Written by katie_grimason on July 16, 2013
Birmingham Fest is a brand new independent arts festival which celebrates the arts and culture scene in the second city. Not only is it a fantastic way for performers to ‘warm up’ before Edinburgh, but it provides Brummies and people alike to experience venues of the city which they haven’t before, so it will be an excellent opportunity to explore more of Birmingham.
The venues where the performances will be taking place are: @AE Harris, The Blue Orange Theatre, Crescent Theatre and the Old Joint Stock Theatre. There is a wide range of shows so it is guaranteed that there is something for everyone, ranging from dance, comedy, music, theatre and performance.
Acts from all across the UK are at the festival and some of the events that are happening include:
17th July: Ledge by Studio3 Theatre, 7.00-8.00pm at the Blue Orange Theatre.
Tower Block Trio by Stage 2, 7.30-10.30pm, held at the Crescent Theatre.
18th July: Off the Straight and Narrow by DDA, 7.00-8.15 which is at the Old Joint Stock Theatre.
From Berlin to Broadway by the Midnight Cabaret Band, 7.45-9.45 at the Crescent Theatre.
